Buran Ghati Trek
The Buran Ghati Trek is a moderate to difficult trek in Himachal Pradesh. It begins from Janglik village, which is around 9–10 hours’ drive from Shimla. The trek reaches Buran Ghati Pass at 4,572 metres and offers views of the Kinner Kailash peaks. The route passes through dense forests, snowfields, rocky paths, green meadows, and seasonal flowers.
The trek duration is 7 days with a total trekking distance of around 37 km. An acclimatisation day is included, with a visit to Chandranahan Lake on Day 4. Prior trekking experience is highly recommended due to steep ascents, high altitude, and demanding terrain.
Best season
The best time for the trek is in summer and autumn, specifically May, June, September, and October, when the weather is generally clear and the trails are more accessible.
